New features in Nive Notis make usage faster and smoother

We have once again released a set of improvements to Nive Notis, this time focusing especially on streamlining the creation of observations. Below is also a list of features that we are currently developing for upcoming versions.

Out Now

  • Uploading observations in the background
  • Taking multiple pictures in a row

In Development

  • Offline mode

Uploading observations in the background: Seamless submission of observations without interruptions

To make creating observations as smooth as possible, the entire upload process is handled in the background. Now you can make observations without interruptions.

With background uploading:

  • you can make new observations without waiting for the upload to finish
  • new observations are automatically placed in a queue for uploading
  • the system sends the observations from the queue one at a time

In practice, this means you can focus on your work while the application handles sending previously created observations in the queue.

Taking multiple photos in a row: a faster and smoother photo capture process

We received feedback that taking multiple photos while creating an observation was previously too slow. The old functionality returned the user to the observation form after each photo, causing unnecessary interruptions.

With the new update:

  • you can take several photos in a row without extra transitions
  • the camera view stays open for as long as you need it
  • you can go back to creating the observation by closing the camera

This makes taking photos, especially on worksites, significantly more efficient.

In development: Offline Mode

We are currently working on a significant improvement: the ability to create observations without an internet connection.

When observations need to be made in locations without connectivity, such as in remote areas, Nive Notis will store created observations temporarily in the app’s memory, until the observation is sent to M-Files.

This allows observations to be created and saved normally even in offline mode.
Once the connection is restored and the app is running, the saved data is automatically transferred to M-Files without any action required from the user.

In offline mode:

  • observations are stored temporarily in the app’s memory
  • you can continue working without interruptions
  • once the internet connection is available again, the saved data will be automatically sent to M-Files

This enhancement will be especially valuable for users who frequently operate in areas with weak or unstable network coverage.

Nive Notis

The Nive Notis reporting solution adapts to your needs. Reportable observations and the collected information are configurable. Book a demo or contact us so we will consider together the solution that is right for your company.
